I’m Melissa Hawkins, and I specialize in blended lived-in brunettes and blondes using a technique called Air Touch Highlights. I also love working with reds, coppers, and beachy California golden blondes. My whole hair aesthetic is all about that California beachy, lived-in vibe—if mermaids or sirens were real, I’d be their stylist! I’m originally from the LA area, where I grew up chasing sunsets and surfing at sunrise. The saying “You can take the girl out of California, but you can’t take California out of the girl” rings true for me. I’m calm and chill both behind the chair and outside of work. I’m passionate about wellness, staying active, nature, and deep conversations. I’ve seen every A24 film, I know every Selena song by heart, and I’ve watched Friends at least 20 times!
